Dear parents,

(your school name) is excited to announce the opportunity to launch a new school-wide computer technology program with our new partner, BEYOND Technology Education.

The school site council and the school board have identified computer technology as a major need for our school. After evaluating several different options, we have selected the plan from BEYOND. The All Inclusive Lab Solution they will be presenting to parents provides the school with state-of-the-art equipment and a top-level computer curriculum.

Ernie Delgado and Rick Harrell of BEYOND Technology Education will be at our school on Wednesday, March 19^th at 6:30 PM to present the All Inclusive Lab Solution to you that includes:

· New computer lab equipment fully networked and maintained

· Age and grade appropriate software and supplies

· Dedicated BEYOND staff member to manage the program

· Computer curriculum and professional development integrated into classroom content

· And more…

The student curriculum will incorporate the following skills:

· Word processing	· Desktop publishing	· Multimedia
· Internet	· Spreadsheets	· Graphics
· Hardware / Networking	· Operating System	· Databases

The teacher training and integration component covers the critical areas of lesson plan re-creation including:

· Web research

· Standards

· Lesson design

We are currently working hard to get the program started in September of 2003. We are evaluating ways to offset the cost with fundraisers or other methods.
